My name is Artey!

Hi there! My name is Artey. I’m a 2 year old beagle mix and I’m looking for a forever home. My owner brought me to Kennel Creek for boarding and never came back for me, but the staff here have made me feel right at home. Still, I’d like to have a family of my own. I know the right family is out there, and I can’t wait! I have tons of energy so I prefer a home with a yard and lots of space to play. And if your looking for a running buddy, I’m your guy! I play great with other dogs but I prefer bigger friends. I will do best in a home with older children because of my high energy. I’ll need lots of walks and exercise so please think about if I am right for your lifestyle before you think you might want to take me home. Also because I’m a beagle my bark is as loud as my personality although I don’t bark excessively. So apartments probably won’t be a good fit for me. I’m told I’m a handsome and sweet boy by everyone I meet! I love to play ball and snuggle up in a big fuzzy blanket and cuddle. s the perfect cuddle buddy because she’s a bit of a couch potato! However we are trying to help her get her figure back 😉 She’s just a quiet and sweet lady who wants love. They both do! And because they are litter mates and are very attached they must stay together! They do wonderfully around other dogs, cats, and new people! However because of their age and size they would do best in a home with no small children. They are working on their kennel training and are doing well but need an owner who is willing to work with them because until now no one had really taken the time. But who says old dogs cant learn new tricks! They have absolutely stolen our hearts and we cant stand to see them spend another day without a place to call home.

Lizzie Girl

Lizzie is a very loyal, sweet girl, that is around 2 years old and is a Catahoula mix. She takes a little time to get used to you, but once she does, she will never leave your side! She knows all the basic commands including speak, and shake, and is housebroken. Lizzie is one of the sweetest dogs you will ever meet.

Bear

Bear is a three year old Aussie Mix who needs a new home. He is playing well with others and has been spending his evenings with Liberty, who has a soft spot for him. He seems to be adjusting well to his new environment and will make a wonderful pet for the right family. Although he takes a bit to warm up to new people, he has lots of love to give.

ADOPTED! Sammie

Little Sammie was found wandering the streets of Kansas City. As you can see, this little puppy has two cherry eyes. This condition gives Sammie an odd appearance, but it doesn’t make her any less lovable. Sammie is an affectionate, submissive and very playful pup. She is currently being fostered in a home with an adult westie, and they get along.

Sammie would be great in a home with children or other dogs. She is estimated to be about six months old, weighs about 25 pounds and probably won’t get much bigger.
